It was an early, cold and sunny morning when I went to go pick up my second shooter, Shaina, to photograph a wedding!

Since I hadn’t had my morning energizer, (aka coffee), and since Cassie, the bride, had yet to arrive at the church, we decided to head over to Wal-Mart and get something to munch on. We ended up purchasing a dozen donuts –and NO, that isn’t my typical breakfast for a long day ahead, and I recommend you eating something a little more healthy with protein if you’re gonna be on your feet all day. :) ALL that to say, it was nice to have some time to eat and talk with each other before everything was to get super busy.

When we returned to the church, Cassie was there, so we headed inside to get some detail/prep shots.

The fun was just beginning. :)

Once Cassie and her fiancé, Ben, were all primped and fixed up, we headed out to shoot some portraits. The sun was still out, and the weather was actually pretty nice, too! So no red noses to fix. ;-)

You could just see in Ben and Cassie’s eyes how in love and excited they were to be in each other’s company, and their anticipation about being man and wife. It’s wonderful seeing couples madly in love.

I just love my job as a photographer. It’s so fun and a privilege to be a part of someone’s wedding day, and getting to be in on the planning and details! :) I love being there to capture all the silly, happy, and bitter sweet moments. :)

So, here’s a sneak peak of their wedding and I’ll hopefully be able to post more soon! So stayed tuned. ;)

If you or anyone you know is tempted to do that, I’d advise you against it…it only ends up really messing with your conscience and ruining your Christmas…believe…I know. ;)

My parents have always gone to great lengths to make Christmas fun and special for our family. I always enjoyed my dad reading us Christmas stories, visiting Santa ;), and looking forward to all the gifts Christmas morning.

I used to believe in Santa. ;-) I remember one year I wanted a Barbie Doll, but my mom had an eversion to them and told me I couldn’t own one. So, I asked Santa for one while sitting on his knee.

Santa didn’t deliver. So I stopped believing. But I haven’t become a Scrooge because of it. ;)

Christmas is here again, and I still enjoy all the food, eggnog, and watching the annual movie on Christmas Eve “It’s a Wonderful Life”… the Christmas traditions, gifts and food all make the holiday fun, but through the recent years, as I come to know my Savior on a deeper level, I enjoy the season for the REASON. Jesus Christ. He humbled Himself, coming down to earth as a baby…for me! He came, lived, died…and was raised to life again, for His Father’s glory and my salvation. I have HIM to celebrate! I take way too much for granted, and do not thank God enough for His Gift of eternal Life to me… I only wish I could treat each and every day as if it were Christmas.

So, if you’re a child of God, ponder upon His lavishing Gift of Love to you — every day.

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
